Daddy's Birthday Celebration

17th November 12'
Saturday

Had Jap to celebrated dad's 50th belated birthday at Rakuzen, Publika.
'Happy Birthday, Dad!'
We had our own little private room to dine in. The room was neat & simple but the opening of the centralised air conditioning above me was blowing like a fan *brrrr* I had to switch seats with sis..
Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable experience in Rakuzen..

Here's what we had for the night..

We decided to keep in simple this year. Didn't want to get a full size cake cuz most of the time we'll end up eating a few slices & leaving the rest in the fridge for days..
Dad said,"This is the 'largest' cake that dad has ever had for my birthday".. He didn't mind at all as he himself suggested to just get a tiny dessert.. We hop over to Free Mori across the street & got this cute lil chocolaty thing :P

Back in Kualalalumpur

16th November 12'
Friday

Back on KL soil after a week away for my holiday/caddying trip to north. Exactly a week ago I travelled with Mom, Bro, aunty Onn Na & her son, Brian to Batu Gajah for Sport Excel for junior tournament held at Clearwater Sanctuary Golf & Country Club. Right after this tournament ended, we headed straight for the next upcoming tournament in Bukit Jawi Golf Resort. It was an enjoyable & memorable experience. I'd say it was a perfect getaway after my finals :D Not gonna share in-depth bout my trip cuz there's too much to be shared. Plus, I wasn't on the picture taking mood so a blogpost with minimal pics wouldn't be that interesting after all..

Anyways, back to the topic.. we arrived in KL in the evening & was glad to have the boyfie to join us for din din as i've not seen, touch & smell him for a week long even though we did managed to skype for a bit while I was away. On this day itself, it's also daddykins birthday but we've already planned to celebrate it the next day for a proper dinner. After dinner, boyf, myself, sis & her date headed over to Publika for a drink.. We were bumming around the blocks in Publika & spotted Coffee Societe..

It was friday & only friday they have free flow of coffee from 6pm onwards ONLY at RM 10 #soworthit. To all coffee lovers, it's a place that you wouldn't want to miss on a friday night..

I'm not much of a coffee person but lately i'm starting to like coffee. Obviously, I'm no coffee expert. I can't tell which is the best coffee in town but I do enjoy a good cup coffee + good ambiance...

View from where we're seated. The cafe is nicely decorated & it felt so warm and cozy :D
Soon after we settled down, more & more people starting filling the seats. Before you even realize it, the cafe was packed.. Definitely one of the best spots to chill at night :)

I had at least 3 cups of coffee that night. Coffee overdosed but it was worth it. For those of you who must be thinking, coffee at night? HAHA. PS: Coffee doesn't work for me. Consuming caffeine won't help me stay awake. I managed to pig in right away after i got home :D

After coffee session, we headed over to Eckywoobee as the boys wanted to play a round of foosball

Thanks for the amazing night people! Good coffee, good company :)

Expressions by Taylor's Orchestra

21st September 12'
Friday

What a pleasant surprise.. The boyf quietly bought tickets for us to catch 'Expressions - Moving Souls in Symphony'. Thanks for the wonderful surprise, love. It is proudly performed by Taylor's University Symphony Orchestra (TUSO). For this year, TUSO collaborated with Taylor's Dance Club and Latin & Ballroom Dance Club to put on a different touch into their show.

The entire performance lasted for approximately 2.5 hours with 15minutes intermission in between.

The event was very well organised & everyone who attended dressed their best to impress. I enjoy classical music very much & their performance didn't fail to impress me. It got me sitting at the edge of my chair the entire time :)

Don't mind the bad quality of pics. They're taking from my bb..

Poco Homemade Cafe

13th September 12'
Thursday

Decided to spend the afternoon having tea with my beloved high school dearies at Poco Homemade, Bangsar. I once saw my friend posted pics on Instagram about this cafe & was eager to pay it a visit. I love to explore small independent cafe all around. From pictures that i've seen, I pictured the cafe to be a whole lot bigger but in actual it's a very small cafe. Pictures can be very deceiving. This tiny little vintage cafe is located in Jalan Kurau. It's within a row of shop lot situated inside a residential area.

What we had for tea...
Recommended - Soya Green Tea (RM 6)
Absolute love

Photobucket
Recommended- Homemade Tofu cake (RM 9)
It so soft that it gently melts in your mouth
We were advised by the friendly waitress to first enjoy the Tofu Cake, followed by Dacquoise & Almond Cake.
From the least sweet to the sweetest..
Mind you, the portions are really small but taste absolutely yummy :)

Recommended - Dacquoise (Matcha Flavoured) - (RM 12)
This is surprisingly good. Green tea lover should definitely go for this..

Almond Cake was not on the menu but they do serve it on certain days
Different desserts on the menu are served on different days
We were eyeing for the strawberry shortcake but unfortunately they didn't have it that day..

Nonetheless, these 3 different desserts were good enough to satisfy our tastebuds Photobucket
